Work experience
Everette was born and raised in Houma, LA, and went on to attend H.L. Bourgeois HS, and then Nicholls State University. A volunteer shift at the campus radio station led to the station manager recommending Everette to local radio station, KXOR, where he landed a paid on-air position. Over the next 7 years he worked his way up through various area radio stations until finally returning to KXOR as Morning Show host and Operations Manager. Throughout his radio career, he found the creative process while working in the production department most satisfying. Everette also has 3 years experience in retail management where he was responsible for all areas of operation, including over 1.3 million dollars in annual sales.

After his wife took an accounting position in New Orleans, Everette soon obtained a position at a small, local start up internet service provider called eBase. Initially hired for sales, Everette quickly transitioned to a web design/development position. But since eBase was a small growing firm, employees were needed to work in multiple areas of operation and Everette gained professional experience in web and email server administration, tech support, and billing, as well as an old hobby of his - photography.

Everette became a much requested photographer among eBase's real estate clients in addition to doing location and catalog photography for many client web sites. Even as eBase grew and employees were able to become more specialized in their duties, there was still a whole project approach to an employee's responsibilities to their web sites - attending meetings with clients, handling photography, designing and developing the site, and launching it on the web. That sense of pride in "project ownership" still drives Everette's work style today.

In 2005, Hurricane Katrina destroyed eBase. Everette and his wife relocated to Houston, TX with her job. He currently works freelance as a web designer. He also does contract work for other firms, most recently a number of web site development projects for Covington firm innovative advertising, llc and Baton Rouge firm Artifex.
